Unlike the vast majority of his patients, Emilio Samson is but a normal human, lacking any sort of special powers. Incredible happenstance has an uncanny knack for happening in his vicinity, however, which prompted him to practice medicine as the one and only Doctor Inexplicable!

Hindrances / Augmentations:
Heir to Fortune: while many trust fund babies waste their fortunes with idle pursuits, Emilio instead did so in medical school. Though he's wiped out a large portion of his inheritance, Emilio nonetheless has some left, which accounts for the considerable resources at his disposal.
High Stress Threshold: it's hard to faze Emilio these days. He's been surrounded by the inexplicable since he was a toddler, after all, so he's seen it all. He may reduce the difficulty of card play required to keep his cool, even if lives are currently at stake, by one level.
Weirdness Magnet: while he has no unique powers to speak of, Doctor Samson is nonetheless a veritable magnet for the bizarre. Strange things happen to him with distressing frequency, people with indescribable abilities cross his pass constantly, and much, much more.
While this ruined his attempts to work in a conventional practice, it lends itself to his work at his own: Inexplicable Medicine. Even if things turn catastrophic as often as not when the Doctor is in. Or even when he isn't, because everyone around him suffers from this quirk as well.
Equipment:
First Aid Kit (i): often called away to deal with patients unwilling or unable to visit his office during an emergency, the Doctor always has this handy. An oversized kit full of assorted medical supplies, the Doctor can use this to at least stabilize most injured people.
Smartphones (i): the good Doctor owns several smartphones at any given time, two of which he has on his person. These advanced portable computers can transmit and receive radio signals with intensity 3 ability, having an (optimistic) maximum communications range of five miles.
Skills:
Medicine 2 (i): Emilio's curious practice forces him to think outside the box more often than not, a knack that has greatly helped him grow his medical abilities. When pressed, he may attempt card play based on medical knowledge or skill at a reduced difficulty, using Intellect or Willpower.
Furthermore, the Doctor excels at resuscitating people long past the normal time such efforts would be useless. He can revive those who have slipped into a coma at any point during the current encounter, as well as help patients recover from ability score or power intensity damage.
Riding (a): while growing up, Emilio was trained in the fine art of horseback riding. Though he can barely operate an automobile, Emilio can ride a horse as if it were an extension of his very body, and may reduce the difficulty of actions called for related to handling such creatures.
Contacts:
Emilio Samson has a vast array of contacts, primarily amongst his many unusual patients. He is on good terms with most of his staff as well, all of which believe in his curious practice, as well as Minion Marvin. The owner of Supernormal Resources, Emilio helps to keep Marvin's staff alive.
Calling:
Protector: wanting to help others above all else, Doctor Emilio Samson goes out of his way to do just that, even if his particular medical practice is a bit... dangerous. But hey, super-human entities need health care as well, and somebody's got to give it to them!
Costume:
Emilio doesn't wear a costume as Doctor Inexplicable, but he does have a trademark outfit. It consists of a white lab coat over a long sleeved black, collared shirt, black trousers, black leather shoes, a black leather belt, a 'wacky' tie he changes regularly, and a medical head mirror.
Personality:
Emilio wanted nothing more than to live a nice, boring life as a family practitioner, but fate had other ideas in mind for him. Though he's embraced the strange happenings surrounding him and everyone close to him, Emilio occasionally grows bitter about his unique lot in life.
That hasn't stopped him from exaggerating his Doctor Inexplicable persona in public, however. He finds himself 'in character' more often than not, particularly when he's investigating one of the weirder medical cases his clients bring him, and truly enjoys these unique medical mysteries.

Story:
Born into a relatively wealthy family, Emilio is the youngest of five siblings. Thanks to this, there was less pressure on Emilio to do something 'important' with his life, though he decided at an early age he wished to become a doctor, and have an ordinary family practice to work in.
Fate wasn't going to play ball with his mundane wishes, however, for Emilio's probability field was abnormal. Though he lacks any kind of special powers or skeletons rummaging around in his background, Emilio is a veritable magnet for the bizarre, which comes looking for him frequently.
Though this was more than a little stressful for him as a child, Emilio quickly grew jaded about the weirdness that seemingly followed his every step as he grew up. He even got through medical school without losing it, despite medical mysteries finding their way into his life all too often.
After earning his medical degree and gaining enough experience, Emilio joined another doctor's practice to learn the ropes. However, the weird followed him there, and before long his would-be mentor's practice was endangered by all the adventurers and criminals who came calling.
Sure, they just wanted medical care, but his boss was woefully unequipped to handle such business. As such, Emilio left before the place was destroyed, and decided to found his own on the spot. Marketing his services to unusual people, he began calling himself Doctor Inexplicable.
Called upon by any number of freaks, weirdos, mutants, and those who crossed the paths of such individuals, Emilio forged quite a successful business. Sure, his building is blown up on occasion, but that's what insurance is for, right? And most of his patients are quite fond of him.
Whether they're his own clients or referrals from Minion Marvin, owner and operator of Supernormal Resources, Emilio's patients rarely have a complaint about him. Except when he gets into character a bit too much, that is, which can be a bit off-putting when one is in critical condition!

Emilio's current horse is Charlie, a heavily pampered critter that is more pet than mount. Like all horses, though, he has iron hooves with which he can inflict +2 bashing damage in melee, and he's a big enough beast that he possesses intensity 2 growth, technically speaking.
Emilio would never dream of endangering Charlie, so he's mostly used for companionship more than anything else. However, Emilio occasionally rides him to a client's location, particularly when they're near his home and getting to them in his car would be difficult.
