Real Name: Greg Hadrian Occupation: firefighter, community organizer Legal Status: citizens of the United States with no known criminal record Marital Status: single Alias(es), if any: none Group Affiliation: none Height: 6' 1" Hair: red Eyes: green Weight: 220 lbs Other Distinguishing Characteristics: none Story: Like many children, Greg decided at an early age that he wanted to be a firefighter. Unlike most of them, however, he actually stuck with the idea. He was raised in a loving family that was heavily civic-minded, and the thought of serving his community was ingrained within his mind. Not keen on interacting with the criminal element nor regularly finding himself elbow deep in another human, Greg didn't find being a policeman or a doctor appealing. So he stuck with firefighting, making sure he was physically ready for the taxing occupation while still in school. Though he trained hard before graduation, Greg nonetheless required additional education before he could actually join trucks out on fire calls. He worked his way through all that with aplomb, though, and before long he had achieved the job he'd been working towards. Going above and beyond, Greg quickly moved up the ranks in his fire department. He showed uncanny bravery in the face of danger, and managed to save numerous people his fellows thought were a lost cause, often when seemingly running headlong into burning structures. Repeatedly escaping unscathed after such incidents, and developing a reputation for partying hard when he was off duty, Greg quickly acquired the nickname of 101 Fireproof. While it fit him at first, and he ultimately grew out of it, the name unfortunately stuck. This is because as he matured, Greg quit the excessive drinking, developing an increasing desire to do more with his life. He began doing charity work instead of partying while he wasn't on call, and started helping his community beyond just fighting fires within it. Developing into a popular public figure, Greg used some of his salary to have custom equipment made for him. Since he didn't waste his income in any other way by this time, he was able to justify the commission of this gear from the one and only Chuck Craft, an artistic creator. He wears some of this gear, including his fancy fire axes and their holsters, pretty much everywhere. This distinctive trait helps people to recognize him in public without having to announce himself, and serves as a walking advertisement for Chuck's amazing work. It's a win-win!
